From Lämmerbach to the Gennerhorn

This tour is an absolute highlight. Challenging but very rewarding, the hike takes you to the summit of the Gennerhorn, a peak with a 360° panorama over the Osterhorn group. A dreamlike hike in Salzburg.

The starting point of this hike is the Lämmerbach car park. From here, the first part of the trail leads up to the Genneralm via a fort road or the old Almsteig trail. Then the trail continues via a marked path up the eastern slope. The descent is via the western ridge into a saddle. In the saddle, the trail turns left and leads back to the Genneralm at the foot of the Gennerhorn. From here, the descent follows the path of the ascent.
