Your guide Daniel Wakeford: The Austrian by choice with German and British roots has been in Austria since 2013 and has been the in-house MTB contact at the 4* DAS Hintersee since 2025. In 2015 he became a state-certified e-mountain bike guide & instructor and has since gained valuable experience in bike destinations such as Saalbach, Leogang, Corfu and crossing the Alps. In 2022 Daniel founded his own company, bike-guide.eu, in Salzburg.
Daniel is passionate about mountain biking and the satisfaction of his guests. Another motivation of his is to introduce you to the most exciting and diverse facets of mountain biking.
His credo: " My guests should feel comfortable and not be overwhelmed - but if you're looking fo a challenge, you'll get your money's worth with me."
As a professional E-Mountainbike guide, Daniel is responsible for riding technique training and guided E-Bike Tours. He adapts each tour to the individual abilities of his guests, true to the motto: "Everything is possible, nothing is mandatory". No matter whether you want to combine driving technique training with a subsequent leisurely tour and wonderful views or prefer a challenging tour - Daniel will ensure the perfect experience.
